Maynard Pond Volunteer Work Days are scheduled on these Saturdays from 8:30 am to 11:30 am to work on cleaning the landscape around the pond. Specific tasks include:
- ~ pruning and trimming around the shoreline and the three acres of adjoining land
- ~ dragging and assembling pruned waste into neat four foot bundles along the street for normal Cary town yard waste pickup
- ~ possibly some weed-eating and spraying for poison ivy
~ breaking down donated cardboard boxes and spreading mulch on top to create weed barriers around trees - ! other needs to be determined
BYOT: Bring your own Tools. If you have loppers and small saws, please bring them. Wheelbarrows and rakes are always helpful. And wear gloves and goggles as appropriate. We appreciate your support in maintaining this special place.
