Maynard Pond is managed by members of the Coronado Village Home Owners Association, Inc. (CVHOA). Formed in 1989, the CVHOA is non-profit organization that purchased the property to preserve the pond and natural surroundings for long term neighborhood enjoyment. The Association’s financial commitments are for maintenance of dam and spillway integrity, erosion control, liability insurance, mowing, and landscaping.
Residents throughout Cary frequently visit Maynard Pond to enjoy catch-n-release fishing and observe the flora and fauna. Long-term planning projects include pond care and maintenance, land management, plantings, as well as communications and branding to extend outreach to any Cary residents interested in the care and preservation of Maynard Pond.
