The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
The treasurer’s report showed a General Fund balance of $1,953.73, Money Market balance of $15,649.75, for a total of $17,603.48. The 2014 budget was presented and approved. Landscape service is on schedule and will include needed tree service. Rosanne announced that she will continue to serve as Treasurer until a replacement is in place.
The list of email addresses is being taken and will be completed soon. Bill Earnhardt will prepare a master list in coordination with Vickie and Ed Barnes.
Michael introduced an idea for soliciting donations to a “Friend of the Pond” fund. People visiting the pond to fish could be encouraged to donate to a maintenance fund which would be published on the Cary Citizens website. Waite discussed issues around this upkeep and if the board will run into problems since our membership numbers are so small.
Gary noted that we need a neighborhood get-together this spring and recommended that it be a social event. The board agreed on April 12 for this event. Bill and Lauren Earnhardt volunteered to work on planning.
Zsolt presented old files from CVHOA and Bill volunteered to scan these for a permanent record. The emergency plan and Town of Cary contribution to the dam repair were reviewed.
The meeting adjourned at 8:00 pm. The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 12, 2014.
